The most epic, detailed, and easy-to-follow
Acadia Itinerary
for people who love to have a plan
Imagine your upcoming trip to Acadia…

You’ve been looking forward to this trip for a while.
You’ve made your hard-to-get lodging reservations, using your limited vacation days to travel to one of the most charming places in America.
And you desperately want it to be unforgettable.
In your mind, you imagine a leisurely drive along the coast. The waves are crashing against the sparkling pink rocks. The ocean air is so salty you can taste it.
You reach the trailhead for a beautiful hike to the top of the mountain, where the views of the sea stretch in every direction.
Traffic isn’t backed up for miles…parking lots aren’t full. You easily find a fabulous parking spot and start hiking.
As you follow the trail through the trees, you notice something peculiar. It’s SO quiet. The leaves rustle in the wind. You hear the distant “ding…ding…ding” from the bell in a buoy being jostled by the waves. No voices. Just the seascape.
You breathe in the fresh air…the beauty and solitude of nature rejuvenating your entire body.
Most people want to experience Acadia in this way,
but unfortunately, a trip like this rarely happens.
Not because it can’t, but because it won’t without a solid plan.
The reality is, most trips to Acadia actually include:
You’ve been spending a lot of time and money making your trip to Acadia possible. Booking flights, searching for lodging, poring over maps and guidebooks, and packing your gear.
But don’t forget about the most important part — the day-to-day details!
When you get to Acadia, WILL YOU HAVE THE INFORMATION YOU NEED to confidently navigate around the park?
You need a plan, but not just any plan.

MY NAME IS ASH, AND I’M A FORMER PARK RANGER

I know that planning a national park trip can be overwhelming — I’ve been the designated trip planner in my family for a long time! Even if you enjoy trip planning, researching and organizing is a lot of work.
On top of that, the added pressure of keeping everyone in your family excited and engaged can be stressful.
After working as a ranger and answering thousands of questions from visitors from all around the world, I can confidently say that most people totally miss out on some of the best parts of the park! Don’t let that be you.
You can spend hours on the internet searching for things to do, but you still won’t find the insider tips and first-hand knowledge that I’ve gained from years of working as a park ranger {and from visiting the park countless times}.
Now you can get the same insider information that I share with my closest family members and friends. It’s all included in your Dirt In My Shoes itinerary.
Are you excited to join the thousands of families
who use {and LOVE} these itineraries?

Each Acadia Itinerary includes:
“Ash has provided invaluable information for our trip to Acadia. I would have missed many great views along the way had I not had Ash’s guides to know what to look for.
From the things to see to the times to be there, the details in her guides are worth far more than what they cost. Do yourself a favor and get her guides!”
Freddie M.
A typical 4-day self-guided tour of Acadia costs $100, and a guided tour can cost $500+.

“Ash’s itineraries are fantastic!! We went to 7 National Parks in one holiday and so had limited time in each. The itineraries made it easy to decide on what we wanted to see and what would be good for us as a family to do.
We used them daily to plan our days out and it worked brilliantly – we saw so much without exhausting ourselves and loved every minute. They are cheaper than any book and so easy to navigate (rather than scouring the internet). Get them before you go – you won’t regret it!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this itinerary a good fit for me?
If you’re hoping to see the main sights, get off-the-beaten-path, and hit some fabulous shorter hiking trails, then YES!
All activities included are family-friendly and good for explorers of all ages.

I’ve already planned my trip to Acadia. Will this itinerary still be useful to me?
Definitely! Even if you already know what you want to see and do while you are there, it’s still important to factor in the driving time and the crowds. I’ve taken all of that into consideration while writing this itinerary, so you can have confidence that you are seeing the attractions in the BEST and easiest way.

This is not my first trip to the park, and I don’t plan on seeing the popular spots {Jordan Pond or Cadillac Mountain} again. Should I still purchase this itinerary?
This itinerary is designed for those who have either never been to Acadia before or haven’t been back for many years. If you don’t care to stop at the most popular attractions, this Acadia itinerary is probably not for you. That being said, if you would really like to delve into some of the park’s longer hiking trails, let me know! I would be happy to provide you with my recommendations.

If I’m going to be in the park for 3.5 days, should I get the 3-day or the 4-day itinerary?
It depends. If you can move fast/cover a lot of ground, you’ll probably appreciate having the 4-day with more activities to choose from. If you want to go a little slower or have some extra downtime, the 3-day is likely the better option.

What if I love to hike and hope to complete some long day hikes in the park?
I suggest getting the itinerary that matches the number of days you’re hoping to sightsee {including viewpoints, trails no longer than 3 miles, and wildlife watching}. Leave some extra days free to tackle the park’s longer and more time-consuming hiking trails.
“Your resource is a big time saver. I actually booked my whole trip last night using your information. Thanks, because this would have taken me weeks to research and put together.”
