I have always loved the feeling of dirt in my shoes…not so much the idea of having dirty socks, but just what having dirt in my shoes symbolizes in my life. I can’t think of anything better than earning the right to see a beautiful place by putting in the effort to get there on foot. It is such a rewarding and magical experience for me!
I am a mountain girl at heart. I grew up near mountains and I love looking out of my window and seeing the skyline interrupted by jagged peaks. As a park ranger in Grand Teton National Park, my days were spent gazing at an incredibly majestic mountain range. Something about the Tetons makes me feel so small in a calming and peaceful way. In the way that I feel blessed to be alive and that heaven is near.
My goal with this website is to provide a way for everyone to get outside and experience nature. I’ve found it difficult to find information and reviews of many places that are on my bucket list, as well as places that are in my backyard here in Utah. I will not write about places that I haven’t personally visited. I think that it is important for you to receive a first-hand account as a reader.
